We're back! JournoTwit suffered downtime, but order has now been restored and we have a faster server

Last night our server at UK2 went *pop*. And as with all bad things – they always happen at the worst possible time – just as Spode got on a train to London for the Custom PC/Bit-Tech awards. Being Friday 13th, things didn't go our way.

We tried to get the word out as best we could that JournoTwit was down, but we honestly feel that could have gone smoother. Apologies to those who messaged us in a state of confusion.

A few frantic phone calls later, we decided it was time to move to a new, more powerful server. That's not to belittle the amazing work that UK2 have put in with our old server, they have provided sterling service from day 1 - cheers guys!

The silver lining to this cloud (pun intended) was Clustered.net suggested to us by @tonypiper. Their pricing is phenomenal and after a reassuring 15 minute chat with them on the phone, we went for a pretty speedy package with plenty of flexibility for future development. From our testing – it's shaved a fair amount of time off execution and should cope with any sudden influx of new blood :)

So a big THANK YOU to all our loyal users. We know as much as you how much life sucks without your favourite Twitter client! We just hope you managed without us and found something to do while the server was down...
